Immersed in a community with a rich history of distance greats such as Beardsley, Steve Plasencia, mcat study guideRon Daws, Steve Hoag, Janis Klecker, Bob Kempainen, Buddy Edelen, Cathy Twomey, Garry Bjorklund, and Jan Ettle, Team USA Minnesota looks to carry on the legacy and create their own.
While some may be skeptical of a training group who chooses Minneapolis as its home base, these runners have proven that sleet, snow, ice, and sub-zero temperatures only make them stronger.
Matt Gabrielson, one of the founding members of the team, jokes, “For a month or two you get to train in mft study guideabsolutely perfect conditions here.” He goes on to say, “the changing seasons contribute to us being more well-rounded athletes.”
Gabrielson, recent second-place finisher at October’s national marathon championships, has been training from day one with teammates such as Jason Lehmkuhle, who was eighth in this year’s New York City Marathon as well as Olympian Carrie Tollefson andnaplex study guide 10K and 10,000m national champion Katie McGregor. An influx of new blood in the last year has strengthened the team with the additions of Emily Brown, Michelle Lilienthal, Macharia Yuot and Josh Moen, among others.
