If she is doping, then she is doing it wrong. It's not like she is setting world or American records. She has been relatively healthy for a series of several years for the first time since college. She has been running solid times, but not blazing times that would indicate doping.

Ryan, how about doing a meltdown of the week. Find the runner who implodes most dramatically :-) Go back to the archives and look at Pamela Jelimo at Pre last year for an example.

This was a very good race. Only thing that sucks is that Flotrack isn't doing live coverage of "Pre", it's going to be on NBC. Now we'll only see parts of the race between ads. We'll miss key surges and moves in distance running.

Not To Fast   July 1 at 10:08am
the PRs of Begley and Koll are not far apart, so why should everyone feel sorry for Koll just because she is graduating from college? She ran Payton Jordan all alone. Sit and kick is something Begley has worked on the past year because she was working on speed (see former interviews). Also, why is that no one can improve without a drug accusation?

Honestly...   July 1 at 9:44am
Flotrack must monitor some words so a synonym for where that "y" is would be arrogant or pompous.

Begley should be embarrassed. Not only was she tactically untactful but she was all y about it, pointing at Alberto and what not. Not a fan.

Would LOVE to have seen Fleshman's kick instead.
This kick made me cringe a little (even Amy said she felt awkward doing that to such a rookie...amen).
Lauren's kick was probably less impressive to watch (though I haven't seen it) but certainly was FAR more impressive given the background to the races in question.

Amy Yoder Begley

Flotrack's Kick of the Week - June 30 (USAs)

June 30, 2010
Her last race for Iowa State, Lisa Koll had been dominant all year, so it was exciting to see her finally race someone on her level. Last year's 10k US Champ Amy Yoder-Begley has the experience and it showed as she waited until 500 to go and unleashed a kick to score her second consecutive national title.
